Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Volvo XC60, we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT trailer hitch receiver. Before we get into that though, we'll just take a minute, check out this hitch, and make sure it's gonna be the right setup for you. So believe it or not, we actually get quite a few of these Volvos in the shop here at etrailer, and it seems like people do a lot of different things with them, from using accessories to pulling trailers around, or even a little bit of both. So having a hitch back here is going to allow you to get those types of tasks done. I do wanna address one of the main questions that we get asked in regards to putting a trailer hitch on the XC60, and that is, will the hands-free liftgate assist feature still function And the answer is yes, as long as you kick your foot to either side of the receiver tube opening, the hatch will open up like it should. more

Draw-Tite Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Volvo XC60- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're installing the Hidden Hitch hitch receiver on a 2023 Volvo XC60. Now our hitch is installed on our Volvo, and the great part is, is it's gonna be perfectly hidden when just driving around until you need to put your accessories in place and that's where you're gonna drop in your receiver. Now this is a two-inch by two-inch receiver opening, so for those bike racks, cargo carriers, or whatever you may be loading onto your Volvo, this is a great option. And it's pretty easy here. There's just a twist knob that's going to engage this. We'll just raise this up, pop it down. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installaiton - 2021 Volvo XC90- Video

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2021 Volvo XC90, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Class 3 two-inch trailer hitch receiver. As you can see in the name of it, it will have a two-inch by two-inch hitch receiver opening, which is gonna be great for those different accessories, two inches going to be the most common hitch receiver size for ball mounts, cargo carriers, bike racks, or whatever you have a reason to get a hitch for. Adding a hitch to your XC90 is going to make it so much more versatile, because you can get some of those items out of your vehicle and onto a cargo carrier, such as a bike rack. You can put bikes on it, get them to and from the trail, or on your trip, or if you wanna tow a small trailer. This hitch is going to be rated for 900 pounds max gross tongue weight, which is the downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube, and a gross trailer weight rating of 6,000 pounds. more

The biggest difference between this trailer hitch receiver and many others that we have on our website is that, when you're not using this hitch, the Volvo XC90 is a very stylish vehicle, you can twist the release tab and pull the hitch receiver off. And as you can see, there's nothing that you can see behind it. If you get way behind the vehicle, you can see just the tabs of our safety chain loops, but other than that, you're not gonna be able to see anything. A lot of people don't like, when you have a very stylish car like this, they don't like to see the hitch receiver hanging down below the rear fascia of the car. more

Now this is what the hitch is gonna look like installed and the first thing you may or may not notice is the fact that it is a hidden cross tube which gives you a nice really clean look on that Volvo because the main portion of the hitch is going to be bolted behind the bumper bean support leaving the only thing that's visible is the actual two inch by two inch receiver. Now your two inch receiver is going to be the standard as far as a lot of your ball mounts or any accessory whether it be your cargo carriers or bike racks. Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Volvo XC90- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and show you how to install the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver here on a 2012 Volvo XC90. So this is what our trailer hitch looks like installed in. At first glance, actually, I really liked the look of this thing. It has a hidden design, meaning the cross tube is actually tucked away behind the bumper there so the only thing we are gonna see is the receiver tube, and all of our hitch components are also coated in a black powder coated finish which is gonna help protect the hitch from rust and corrosion over time, being that it is on the underside of the vehicle. So adding a trailer hitch to your XC90 here, it's gonna be a great idea because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile, and there's a number of different things you can use a trailer hitch for aside from just towing. If we wanted to hit the trails, we could easily attach a hitch-mounted bike rack, or if we wanted to free up some space inside the vehicle for the family on those long road trips, we could easily attach a hitch-mounted cargo carrier basket as well. more

We're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver here for our 2020 Volvo XC 60.So this is what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed. As we can see here, it has a very nice factory-like finish here. The majority of our trailer hitch is actually going to be hidden behind this bumper here, so the only part that's going to be visible from outside the vehicle is the receiver tube opening here.This is going to do a couple of different things. Number one, as we mentioned, it's going to provide us with a very clean finished install look, and number two, the receiver tube opening is going to sit super close to this bumper here. Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the Curt Class Three Custom-Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2015 Volvo V60.Now you can see that our hitch is going to have a really nice appearance to it, and that's because the cross tube is going to be completely hidden behind the bumper, and all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out. And since it is a Class Three, it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, so we're going to have a really wide variety of options when it comes to accessories. But regardless of how we're going to be using it, all of our accessories are going to mount using the hitch pin hole here on the side. Now our hitch is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now these are not included with the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to make sure your accessories are secure.Now if you are going to be towing a trailer, you obviously need a spot to hook your safety chains up, and we're going to have a loop style connection point at the bottom of our receiver tube. And even with most size hooks, we're going to have plenty of room to get those on or off.As far as the weight ratings go, our hitch is going to have a 350 pound tongue weight, that's going to be the maximum downward force at the end of the receiver tube here. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Volvo XC60, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76194.The nice thing about it is that that cross tube's going to be completely behind the bumper and al we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out of the bottom. Now it is a class 3 hitch which means that it's going to give us that 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, and we're going to have a wide variety of options available. You have all sorts of different kinds of accessories that we can mount up.Now the way we're going to mount all our accessories is using the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept standard 5/8 pin and clip and while these aren't included in the kit, you can pick them up here at e-trailer.com or a variety of locking devices to keep your accessories safe. Now you'll notice that the Draw-Tite has a secondary toward the back of the receiver here. That's going to be used exclusively for the J pin stabilization device, which is going to be an anti-rattle device that's made specifically for this kind of hitch, and you can pick one of those up here at etrailer.com.As far as the safety chain connection points go, we're going to have a loop style, but they're going to be on either side of our receiver tube which is going to be nice because they're not going to interfere no matter really what size hook we have. more
